Please join us for a lunchtime talk on April 17 titled: “Bearing Faith: The Limits of Catholic Health Care for Women of Color.” The talk will address the findings of a new report released in January by the Public Rights/Private Conscience Project at Columbia Law School and Public Health Solutions. The report discusses how the rules governing care at Catholic-affiliated hospitals affect women of color's access to reproductive health care, with specific impacts in New Jersey.

Kira Shepherd (Rutgers Law '11), the Director of PRPCP's Racial Justice Project, will speak on the implications of the report with Dr. Ashley Grosso, a Research Scientist with Public Health Solutions, Elizabeth Reiner Platt, Director of the Public Rights/Private Conscience Project, and Renée Steinhagen, Executive Director of New Jersey Appleseed Public Interest Law Center.

The talk will take place at Rutgers Law School, 123 Washington St. Newark, NJ 07102 from 12 to 1 pm, Center for Law and Justice, Room 020.
